Gene Schoenfeld was in a small Bay Area contingent -- Warren Hinckle and Sean Penn, too -- at a seven-hour, 29-speaker private memorial for Hunter S. Thompson in Aspen on Saturday. Among the other guests: Johnny Depp, John Cusack, Don Johnson, Bob Rafelson, Jann Wenner, Ralph Steadman, Jack Nicholson and Bill Murray, who said when he had the chance to buy a ranch next door to Thompson's, his wife said she wouldn't want to live next door to him. "She's no longer my wife,'' said Murray. It's a guy thing.
